Vacancy – Robac Cell Manager



We have decided to create the new position of Robac Cell Manager to allow Kelvyn Soars to focus on the business development of the Robac product ranges.

This new position of Robac Cell Manager will report into Steve Pickard and will be responsible for the running of Robac production operations in Cell 1.

Duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Management and safety of personnel in Cell 1

  • Planning and scheduling of manufacture and maintaining stock levels for Robac products in Cell 1 and those linking into Cell 2 and Cell 3.

  • Liaison with raw material suppliers and working with external collaborators and contractors

  • Batch record, procedure and risk assessment (including COSHH) preparation and authorisation

  • Equipment maintenance planning and breakdown servicing

  • Permit authorisation

  • Accountability for product quality, yield, on time delivery and cost

  • Leading PIGs and other meetings.

  • Conducting SUSA audits.

  • Dealing with the EA and HSE

  • Member of the senior Operations management team.

You should be degree qualified with several years of management experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment. You should be able to successfully multi-task, be highly organised and be able to communicate and influence at all levels both in and outside of the Company. You should have a broad knowledge of chemical manufacture and have a strong commitment to safety, quality, and the environment. You should have a drive for continuous improvement and for achieving results. You should be able to demonstrate good man management skills.

Starting salary will be in the range £34k – £38k.
