Robinson Brothers Limited are a successful independent family owned company with manufacturing operations located in West Bromwich in the West Midlands. We manufacture and supply speciality fine organic chemicals for the pharmaceutical, agrochemical, photographic, polymer, food/beverage and related industries.
Due to a reorganisation within the company we now have the following vacancy:
Sales & Marketing Manager £Negotiable + Car + Bonus– We need a S&M Manager to operate across our business areas of pharmaceutical/veterinary, photographic and rubber/polymer. With a broad remit you will be set the task of spotting & developing new business opportunities.
Based at our site in West Bromwich, a large amount of travel, primarily in Europe, will be required as you hunt down new business. You will work closely with the R&D and S&M teams and our international agents and distributors . This element of the role will require you to be a confident, articulate and persuasive presenter, able to convince the customer that we are the preferred supplier of choice for both development projects and for full scale manufacture. You must be able to read commercial situations accurately and be able to think on your feet. This is a very focused customer facing role and you will need to have outstanding interpersonal skills. Due to the nature of your role a high degree of flexibility regarding travel is expected.
Degree educated in chemistry you should have spent some time in R&D or another highly technical area and be able to talk chemistry with some authority to customers. Most importantly is the skill to recognise matches with our technologies and capabilities. You should have proven past success in previous S&M roles and have well developed presentation skills.
The position attracts 25 days annual holiday + statutory bank holidays, the benefit of a 36.25 hour working week, some working from home, free life assurance, access to a stake holder pension scheme and a generous paid sickness scheme.
The salary for this position is negotiable based on your experience and skills. A car is included in your package as well as a performance related bonus. Relocation assistance may be available to the right candidate.
