R&D Chemical Assistant – 6 Month Contract
Robinson Brothers Limited is a manufacturer of organic chemicals to varied business sectors including pharmaceutical, agrochemical, food and beverage, rubber and photographic industries.
A vacancy for a Chemical Assistant has arisen in our busy R&D department, located in West Bromwich. This position is for initially a period of six months but we do anticipate the position becoming permanent.
The Chemical Assistant's main role will be to support the Chemical Reaction Hazard Specialist in the evaluation of process safety for our new and existing processes. This will involve performing a range of process evaluation experiments, collating results and producing technical reports.
The person we are looking for should have a minimum of a BSc Honours degree in chemistry with aptitude in organic chemistry and an interest in reaction kinetics. Some relevant industrial experience, either gained during study or post graduation, may be an advantage. Solid IT skills in spreadsheet and word processor software are a necessity.
